Three Styles (three sizes)

With this sewing pattern you can create three styles of bags -- The Hipster, a small shoulder-sling; The Downtowner, a pocketbook-style bag; and The Weekender, a bag perfect for overnight travel. All bags are fully lined and have a top zipper closure and three strap length choices. Each bag can be made with an optional inside zipper pocket.
Bag Sizes:
The Hipster: 8-1/2w x 9-1/2h x 1-1/2d (with lined outside pocket)
The Weekender: 14wx 9-1/2h x 3d
The Downtowner: 12w (bottom) x 6-1/2h x 1-1/2d (omit strap for a stylish clutch)
Fabric Suggestions:
Outer Fabric: Nylon pack cloth, cordura, canvas, denim, corduroy, heavy silk, lightweight upholstery fabric, or other medium to heavy weight fabric.
Lining: Any light to medium weight woven fabric.
Contrast: Any light weight woven fabric.
Interfacing: Self-fabric or non-woven interfacing
NOTE: The heavier the fabric used, the lighter the interfacing should be. Stiff, heavy fabric does not need to be interfaced.
Notions:
The Hipster or The Downtowner: 1/3 yd (.3m) #2 or #4 coil zipper and one zipper pull OR one 10 non-separating coil zipper.
The Weekender: 1/2 yd (.46m) #2 or #4 coil zipper and one zipper pull OR one 15 non-separating coil zipper.
Optional Inside Pocket: one 7 (18cm) coil pocket zipper.
