The Syd Tie Top & Dress by Sydney Graham Patterns is a versatile pattern with the option to make either a loose, full length Top or a flowy, tiered, mid-calf Dress. With either option you have the choice to add a 3/4-length puffy sleeve or go sleeveless. No matter which direction you go, the pattern features its signature front-tie closure.

This sewing pattern is designed for a confident beginner and has beginner friendly sewing instructions, illustrations, and an accompanying video tutorial to make the construction easy to follow.

Recommended Fabrics:

Works best with mid and light weight woven fabrics. Linen, linen rayon blends, light cotton are ideal, and we also recommend using thrifted linens for beginner projects. If you are new to garment sewing a good rule of thumb is that the more drapey/swishy/slinky your fabric is, the more challenging it will be to sew. It will look gorgeous, but enter at your own risk ;)

Fabric Requirments:
1-3m of 56" wide fabric, depending on the style, length, and size chosen. Please purchase in advance and bring pre-washed.
