Description
Waxed cotton is a durable, tightly woven cotton fabric that has been treated with a wax coating to create a water-resistant finish. The surface has a distinctive matte to slightly glossy sheen, witha smooth yet rugged hand feel that softens and develops a unique patina overtime. The wax treatment gives the cloth excellent weather resistance while maintaining the breathability of natural cotton. Tradititionally used in outdoor garments, bags, and accessories, waxed cotton is valued for its hand- wearing performance, classic look, and ability to age beautifully with use.
