The Syd Tie Top & Dress is a versatile pattern with the option to make either a loose, full length Top or a flowy, tiered, mid-calf Dress. With either option you have the choice to add a 3/4-length puffy sleeve or go sleeveless. No matter which direction you go, the pattern features its signature front-tie closure.

This sewing pattern is designed for a confident beginner and has beginner friendly sewing instructions, illustrations, and an accompanying video tutorial to make the construction easy to follow.

The Puff and Pencil TIE blouse is an open blouse with a v-neck and a loose fit. It has an opening with three ties. The neckline is finished with a facing instead of bias tape. This blouse is highly customizable, above photo includes the LANTERN sleeve, which is split in two and ends at the wrist. The upper part is like a t-shirt sleeve, and the lower part has volume and is made with gathering thread. The sleeve hem is made with an elastic.

Recommended Fabrics:

Works best with mid and light weight woven fabrics. Linen, linen rayon blends, light cotton are ideal, and we also recommend using thrifted linens for beginner projects.

1-3m of 56" wide fabric, depending on the style, length, and size chosen. Please purchase in advance and bring pre-washed.
