The Quinn Vest

The Quinn pattern is a casual take on a vest, including multiple length options. View A is a cropped vest. View B is a hip-length vest. View C is a mini dress hitting a couple of inches above the knee.
All views are unlined, finished with a combination of bias bindings and facings. This style includes princess seams, a V neckline, a back buckle and a center front button opening. Please note: if you are choosing the dress options you may have homework to complete between classes (during the week of June )
Sizing: US 0 – 18 or US 14 – 32
Note: The size ranges have been drafted from different blocks. The 14 – 32 block has a slightly more curvy set of dimensions than the 0 – 18 block. The 14 – 32 block has a D instead of a C cup (meaning a 4" rather than a 3" difference between your full and high bust) and has a 1" larger difference between the waist and hip circumference. Both size ranges are drafted for an average height of 5'5".
Fabrics Suggestions:
Medium weight woven fabrics such as linen, cotton twill, corduroy, and denim.
Optional : If your main fabric is stiff you might also want 1/3 yd of light weight cotton fabric for the neck and armhole bias bindings.
Fabric & Notion requirements:
Notions: Lightweight interfacing; 1" sliding buckle; 5/8" (15 mm) buttons, 4 for Views A and B, 9 for View C, or 12 for View D.

View A: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 1.5 - 1.8 yd (1.4 - 1.6 m) // 54" (137 cm) wide fabric: 1.1 - 1.3 yd (1 - 1.2 m).
View B: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 2 - 2.2 yd (1.8 - 2 m) // 54" (137 cm) wide fabric: 1.5 - 1.8 yd (1.4 - 1.6 m).
View C: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 2.5 - 2.7 yd (2.3 - 2.5 m) // 54" (137 cm) wide fabric: 2 - 2.3 yd (1.8 - 2.1 m).
Fabric Sizes 14 – 32
View A: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 1.8 - 2.2 yd (1.6 - 2 m) // 54" (137 cm) wide fabric: 1.3 - 1.8 yd (1.2 - 1.6 m).
View B: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 2.2 - 2.7 yd (2 - 2.5 m) // 54" (137 cm) wide fabric: 1.8 - 2.2 yd (1.6 - 2 m).
View C: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 2.7 - 3.3 yd (2.5 - 3 m) // 54" (137 cm) wide fabric: 2.3 - 2.7 yd (2.1 - 2.5 m).

Experience Level: Level 4 - Intermediate Garment, have sewn multiple simple garments. This level expands on garment sewing techniques and working with very light, heavy, stretchy or slinky fabrics.
