Hand Mending with Liz Simpson
DATE: TUESDAY October 27th 6-9pm
Join us for a hands-on, three-hour workshop where participants will learn practical garment repair and alteration techniques! This class is for anyone who wants to extend the life of their clothing, develop confidence making basic repairs and/or simple adjustments for a better fit. We’ll cover a range of hand sewing techniques that are particularly useful for mending, as well as machine darning and patching methods, hem and seam adjustments, and how to assess a garment when choosing the appropriate repair or alteration. Students are encouraged to bring 1-3 items from their mending pile to work on during class time.
Experience Level: All experience levels welcome
