The Allspice Crossover Apron

The Allspice Apron is a crossover full-length apron with front pocket. It looks beautiful in a soft wrinkled linen but works with virtually any woven fabric. It is multi-sized to fit hip widths 32″ – 60″. Pair it with some yummy home baked goodies or a new kitchen tool for a great gift for a loved one.

Skills used: bias binding, understitching, top stitching.
A perfect project for adventurous beginners who want to take the next step in their sewing journey.
Recommended Fabrics:
Medium to heavy-weight woven fabrics with no stretch. Cotton broadcloth, denim, linen, cotton twill, quilting cotton and canvas are all suitable options. Waxed Canvas can also be used for a water-resistant apron.
Fabric Requirments:
- 1.5 yards or meters of any woven fabric 42″ wide or wider
- matching thread
- 6.5 yards or meters of 2″ total width bias tape (or just use storebought double fold and apply it using the traditional method) OR a 24″ square of fabric to make your own.
Skill Level: Confident Beginner, can set up a machine independently, and can sew straight seams and curved seams. Comfortable sewing with stable fabrics.
