Waistband Alteration

Alter your jeans like an expert, with the guidance of an expert! Learn how to take-in the waistband of your jeans with professional, high-end tailoring techniques in the second of our hands-on denim alteration workshops with Danielle from Sequel Jeans. 

Designed for sewists with intermediate garment-making experience, this 3-hour class will walk you through the steps to take-in the waistband of your jeans, and the skills to repeat it again. Students must feel confident using a seam-ripper and a steam iron.

What You'll Learn:

• How to remove the waistband
• Installing darts the right shape and size
• Resizing the waistband and reattaching
• And reattaching the belt loops

What to Bring:

• A pair (or two) of jeans you want to alter
