Multi-Sized Pattern for Adults: Sizes 1 - 5

A racing shorts pattern that you can use to make your own biking (or running) shorts with a side stripe and a crotch chamois for comfort. Also could be used to make bottoms for a bathing suit. This is a very quick project to make.
Sizing:

Fabric Suggestions:
Shorts: 80% Nylon/20% Lycra tricot knit, or other 4-way stretch Lycra fabric.
Chamois (optional): Microfleece and medium fleece for 2-layer padding.
Note: This pattern is sized for 4-way stretch Lycra fabric with at least 40% stretch.
Fabric Requirements:
45 or 60 wide fabric, all sizes - Main Color: 3/4 yd (.7m); Contrast Color: 5/8 yd (.57m)
Notions:
Polyester thread, 1 yd (.92m) 1 waist elastic, 1 yd (.92m) 1 grip elastic, 1/4 yd (.23m); 1 sq.ft. each micro and medium fleece for chamois pad (optional).
