Classic Denim Jeans
With Liz Simpson
DATE: 5 consecutive Sundays, STARTING October 19th, 26th, November 2nd, 9th, 16th
TIME: 9:30am-12noon (5 sessions x 2.5hrs = 12.5 hours)
Impress your friends, neighbours (and total strangers!) with a pair of custom denim jeans, made for you, by you! In this 5-session workshop participants will choose one of two patterns to work from: Daughter Judy's Adam Pants or Worship Jeans.
Both patterns feature signature denim pant elements: five (coin) pocket construction, front or button fly, belt loops and topstitching galore! Students will learn about pant construction, fabric and fit considerations when selecting a size, hardware installation and our top tips and tricks for wrangling heavyweight fabric on a domestic sewing machine.
Intermediate garment class. Students must feel confident sewing independently between sessions.
IF you are unable to make any of these sessions you are welcome to drop in for a 2 hour semi-private coached session to make up one of the dates.
Detailed supply list and digital pattern to be emailed out after registration.
Experience Level: Intermediate, confidence with garment sewing required.
