Not your ordinary hand warmer!
The perfect companion for beefing up the warmth level of your mittens. The reason these easy-to-sew hard warmers are important is because they are more than a mitten liner. The little pocket allows for either a disposible or reusable hand warmer packet to be placed at the wrist, over the blood vessels that flow to the fingers. This is extremely effective in keeping the whole hand warm! Fingers stay much warmer even though the hand warmer is fingerless.
It also offers extra comfort when holding ski poles or other objects, because there is no bulk in the palm area.
Suggested Fabrics
We recommend a stretch athletic fabric that does not ravel, so it is not necessary to finish the edges unless desired. We particularly like Thermal Flex, Polartec Windpro Stretch, Polartec Power Stretch Fleece Backed, and some styles of Polartec Thermal Pro.
